Rules on Campus

Unsupervised children: We are not a drop off center where you can simply leave your child unsupervised & not in classes for the day. This means that your child should be supervised at all times &/or be enrolled in classes at all times. However, we do offer some flexibility when it comes to your child. Day camps are drop off.

TK-6th: You are not allowed to leave your child on campus, unsupervised, unless you enroll in the Drop Off Service described below. This includes lunch time. Children are not allowed to be on HEC campus without supervision if not in class. If you feel your child is able to get from class to class on their own, it is entirely up to you, but your child may not be on campus without being enrolled in class without supervision. This means you CANNOT drop them off to be on campus without being in classes at all times (without supervision).

Drop Off Service: Drop off service is provided for an additional fee of $60 per semester (to be added upon registering). The service requires/includes:

  1. You will enroll your child in a minimum of 5 consecutive, same-day classes, not counting lunch.

  2. You will pay an additional fee to the “Drop-Off Lunch vendor".

  3. We will ensure your child gets from class to class.

  4. We will provide lunchtime supervision for up to an hour that you choose between 11am-1pm only.

  5. You may only choose one lunch hour.

  6. Kid will be walked from class to class

7th-12th: You are not allowed to leave your child on campus, unattended/unsupervised (meaning without supervision or without being in a class), unless they are enrolled in a minimum of 4 classes in one day. Unattended children must be mature enough to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. They are allowed one hour of “free study time”, on campus and not in class, for lunch between the hours of 11am-1pm. That’s one hour between 11am-1pm. They are also allowed 1 hour of “quiet study” time between classes OR participate in the Teen Volunteer Community Service Program (described on the website, must be 13 years & mature to qualify (some exceptions for mature 12 year old's). The quiet study time is just that, time for your student to sit quietly studying or taking an online class (no gaming allowed). It is not an additional hour of free time to be spent wandering the halls or playing on the grounds.

NOTE: Parents may get together to help other parents out with schedules to be responsible for each other's group of children or have a volunteer that will be responsible for their child, but they cannot be unattended.

Day Camps: HEC's Day Camps are our only drop off's options.
