Welcome to Homeschool Enrichment Centers!

Is HEC a school?

Homeschool Enrichment Centers (HEC) is a learning center. HEC is not a school. We offer full core classes, elective, & enrichment classes along with field trips & events for preschool through High School. Classes are al la carte style where you can pick as little or as much as you want. 

Some things to know: 

  • We have 3 campuses 

    • Bonita (classes are Mondays & Wednesdays) ​

    • El Cajon ( classes are Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays) ​​

    • Riverside (classes are Tuesdays & Thursdays)

  • A membership is required to attend our classes, field trips & events ​

  • We do NOT have records or keep grades. You, the parent, are the teacher and should be keeping grades OR if you are with a independent study charter, then your charter will

  • HEC does not keep records or ask for vaccines.

  • We are here to help you in your homeschool journey to supplement classes.

  • HEC offers core classes for High School.

How does it work

How Does it Work?

You choose however many classes you want. There is no minimum or maximum. All classes are a-la-carte. You can choose enrichment or core classes. We are like a college but for kids, where you choose your schedule, yet you are still the teacher & continue to make the decisions of how to homeschool. Families choose HEC to farm out their child's core classes, to take enrichment classes, for the social time or to simply get a break.

Drop Off Question
In the Classroom

AGES TK-15 YEAR OLD ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN UP FOR DROP OFF IF PARENT IS NOT STAYING ON CAMPUS

Children are not allowed to be on HEC campus without proper supervision if not in class. Students need to be in class & will not be walked to another class by HEC staff or teachers unless they are enrolled in our drop-off program. Students are not allowed to be on campus if a parent is not present when not in a classes

Drop off options include: 

  • Half day morning session (9:00-11:55am with 12:00pm optional class add-on) 

  • Half Day afternoon session (12:00pm-2:55pm with 11:00am optional class add-on) 

  • Full Day Drop Off With Lunch - 11:00am 

  • Full Day Drop Off With Lunch - 12:00pm

    • TK-11yrs

    • ​12-13yrs (Teen)

    • 14 - 15yrs (free, but still must register) ​​

Other Drop off Add-ons 

  • Early Drop off (8:30am-9:00am)

  • Extended Care (2:55pm-4:00pm)

Each Program has requirements and policies- please read how to qualify by clicking button bellow 

** SOME OF OUR POLICIES HAVE CHANGED FOR STUDENTS 14 & UP PLEASE READ DROP OFF OPTIONS FOR THOSE CHANGES 

Drop Off Options

Early Drop off 

WHAT COMES WITH EARLY DROP OFF 

  • $78 per semester 

  • Early Drop Off Care  from 8:15am-9:00am 

  • Supervision in case of an emergency 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be registered in minimum 3 classes for the day 

*must have a minimum of 3 students registered to keep

REGISTERING FOR CLASSES 

Desktop Instructions

  • Click on Fall 2023 Schedule tab from the Schedule tab 

  • Log in Or create and Amilia Account (this may occur at a later step)

  • Use the Filters on the right side to find classes 

    • Filter ares: day, location, more filters, program and category​

  • Click on the class title for full class details 

  • Press register button or the add button icon 

  • Select participant(s) to register (or add another person)​​

  • A membership notice will pop up - press continue

    • (membership will be added to your cart automatically) 

  • When you are done adding classes press checkout or the cart (you will have a time limit to checkout) 

  • You will see the classes added as well as the membership in your check out cart 

    • classes will be $0 all payments are made directly to vendors for classes

    • the $68 charge is for membership and is mandatory to register 

    • if you register for any drop off options this will be paid upon checkout and will reflect in your cart 

  •  Click the check out button 

  • You will be prompted to fill out student info and waivers

    • This will only need to be done once every 9 months 

  • Once completed press continue and complete payment information 

  • You will be sent a confirmation email upon checkout

Paying For Classes with Charter Funds 

Upon registration, All classes REQUIRE a $50 non-refundable registration fee OR Full payment paid directly to each instructor/vendor for each class, in order to save your spot in the class. If your charter funds have not dropped yet, you have 2 options​

  1. Register now & pay the $50 non-refundable registration fee per class (that goes towards the class fee), out of pocket within 24 hours. *Some charters do not allow for partial payments

  2. Register later, when your charter funds drop to pay both the vendor's registration & class fee

PAYING WITH CHARTER STEPS

  1. Register for the class FIRST 

  2. Order enrichment funds from your charter immediately (you have 5 business days for your vendor to RECEIVE your certificate) - if it is not received in 5 business days you will be dropped from the class

  3. Contact your vendor that you ordered the certificate

  4. When you receive the enrichment certificate (fancy word for purchase order), confirm that the vendor received it as well.

CHARTER PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS OF REGISTERING FOR A CLASS OR YOU WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE CLASS
