The Collective Movements was founded on the base of providing a real world education of parkour. Teaching under Toni Brooks: Dana Vollmar represents the fourth generation in a remarkable family legacy spanning five generations of deaf individuals. She grew up in Riverside, California, alongside her three deaf brothers and her deaf parents, who are now retired teachers from the California Schools for the Deaf. Dana herself is a proud graduate of the California School for the Deaf, Riverside (CSDR).

 

She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Gallaudet University, the world’s only university dedicated to the education of deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

 

Dana is a proud aunt to five nephews and one niece, two of whom are also deaf. Her passion for American Sign Language (ASL) shines through her teaching and decades of dedicated volunteer work.
